LIFE ON THE EASTERN EDGE
THE ECOLOGY OF NEWFOUNDLAND COASTAL WATERS
Come join us on board our fully certified and equipped research/tour boat, where you will have the opportunity to observe first hand the beauty and diversity of our coastal marine ecosystem. From plankton, fish and seabirds to the great whales, we will explore all that makes up this rich, complex, web of life. Clear, pristine waters of the North Atlantic ocean, invigorating sea breezes, rugged coastal cliffs and sandy beaches provide the backdrop for your “hands – on” investigation of what has sustained Newfoundland and its people for generations. You will use a variety of sampling equipment, examine specimens under the microscope, view dolphins and whales in their natural setting and meet Newfoundlanders who take their living from the sea. The preservation of our marine natural resources depends on their being understood and appreciated – be a part of our team.
