As an artist, I use the natural Newfoundland environment to depict the depth and breadth of the human emotional experience. My curiosity about the unconscious, amid my emerging spirituality within the context of my life experiences, have inspired the ways in which I choose to communicate visually. My art work reflects the private emotional dialogue between my internal spiritual space and the external ego-driven culture nestled within the Newfoundland natural landscape. Consequently, many have claimed my work is both unconventional and starkly provocative.
